Founded in 1953, the Italian MAI organisation initially concentrated its efforts on retreading tyres for agricultural machinery as Italy recovered from the shortages resulting from its involvement in the second World War.
The company's workload steadily increased during the early years
requiring several changes of location until, in the 1960's, a purpose-built plant was established in Caselle with a covered area of some 20,000 sqm.
Using its vast storehouse of experience, the UZMAI Group has recently embarked on a major step forward with the introduction of its own
range of new All Steel Radial tyres under the Uzmai International banner a new joint venture company whose commercial offices are based at modern premises in the Italian city of Verona.
From here the company controls the distribution of its products via an exclusive worldwide dealer network whilst at the same time taking advantage of its new state of the art manufacturing facility in Turkey.
Uzmai International has recently launched a new all-steel radial tyre range which has been specially developed for off-road applications with sizes to suit many different types of construction equipment.
